Today we continued working on our music programs. Above is an example of one of the student's projects. Many of the kids have finished coding at least one instrument and are working on their second or third instruments. Some are ready to start adding motion so we will work on that next time.
The fifth graders are hard at work on their CodeHS curriculum. Many of them have taken to working on it outside of our sessions and I'm impressed by their drive and interest in the subject. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they will accomplish!
Most of them are continuing the Karel curriculum we started from the beginning, but one of them already has experience with Java and wants to learn something different. He went ahead and started on the next unit, Basic Java. I wrote up some basic java concepts on the board and reviewed them with him.
